This fully illustrated talk will review historic maps of Oxford and the evidence from archaeology and documentary sources for reconstructing the shape of the city from medieval to modern times for the Historic Towns Map and Atlas of Oxford.
Julian Munby was until recently Head of buildings archaeology at Oxford Archaeology and he is a contributor to the mapping project that resulted in the historic towns Map and Atlas of Oxford.
