Lunar New Year Family Crafts: Autism-friendly Session

Loading Events

Join us at the Museum of Oxford for a session of crafts to celebrate the Year of the Dragon. Make a dragon puppet, learn to fold a Red Envelope and explore the traditions of the Lunar New Year. This event is best suited for children 5 and up, but all are welcome.

This is a relaxed event for families with members on the autistic spectrum. During the event, we will have limited capacity, no background music and a separate quiet space available.

Booking is advised. Tickets may be available on the door, dependent on availability. Each Child ticket includes free entry for a carer. Accompanying adults must stay with their children for the duration of the event.

There is step-free, level entry access to the Town Hall is via the entrance closest to Carfax (to the left of the main steps as you face the Town Hall). Inside the Museum, Museum Makers is accessible via a platform lift to the Galleries and then via stairs. Accessible toilets are available in the Museum (close to Museum Makers) and in the Town Hall on the ground floor, before entering the Museum.
