Life As A Roman- Accessible Session 2.00-3.00pm

Loading Events

Ever wondered what life was like two thousand years ago? Don’t miss the chance to experience life as a Roman: learn to tie a toga, write the Roman way and try your hand at mosaic making with our family workshop!

We are delighted to announce that the museum will now be offering relaxed SEN friendly family workshops! (Of course, anyone is welcome to any of our workshops, whether they identify as having SEN or not but we are building these sessions with your specific needs in mind!)

How Are They Different?

Before The Session:
Pictures of the museum, toilets and workshop space available and clear description of activities available upon request (email here)

During The Session
Flexible start and end times: the session is an extra 30 minutes long and guests are free to come and go as they wish!
No background music playing: while noise isn’t a problem (and we have ear defenders available), we will not be playing additional background music during our accessible sessions.
No pressure! Take part in as much or as little of the session as you wish!
Timers, weighted blankets, stim toys and PEC boards available during the session!
A dedicated quiet space available adjacent to the workshop space for anyone in need of a space to wind down!

If you have any questions or if there is any way we can accommodate your needs more fully, please contact us here!
