Crafty Rafts with Science Oxford

Loading Events

Join the Science Oxford team at MOX for a wet and wonderful exploration of floating and sinking at this nautically-themed family workshop. Mini-mariners will have fun investigating the scientific principles of buoyancy with hands-on activities, before putting their new engineering skills to the test! Design and build a range of rafts, and test which design will be able to rescue the most toy animals from the island?

We’ll test each raft in turn, giving families the opportunity to refine and improve their designs. The workshop provides a great way for your children to develop their team-working, resilience, and problem-solving skills.

Each workshop lasts for 2 hours and is recommended for children aged 5+

Workshops run from 10.30-12.30 & 1.30-3.30
