Free entry days (2026)

We run free entry days throughout the year. On these days, everyone can visit the Museum of Oxford’s galleries for free. Our 2026 free entry dates are:

Free annual passes

Some visitors are eligible for a free annual pass, which gives unlimited free entry to the Museum of Oxford’s galleries for one year. Free annual passes can be renewed each year.

You may be eligible for a free annual pass if you are Registered Blind, Disabled, in receipt of certain benefits, or if you meet other eligibility criteria, such as living in homeless pathway accommodation. Please check the full list below to check if you’re eligible for an annual pass.

How to register

To register for a free annual pass, please visit the Museum and speak to a member of our friendly team. Please make sure to bring proof of your eligibility with you, for example a Blue Badge or evidence of benefit entitlement.

Who is eligible for a free annual pass

You may qualify for a free annual pass if you are:
  • Registered Blind or Disabled
  • A foster carer
  • An asylum seeker, refugee or person seeking sanctuary
  • Living in homeless pathway accommodation

 

You may also qualify if you are in receipt of one or more of the following benefits:
  • Council Tax Reduction Scheme (excluding Single Person Discount)
  • Severe Disablement Allowance
  • Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • Housing Benefit
  • Universal Credit – Housing Element
  • Pension Credit
  • Carer’s Allowance
