Whether you want to host a team away day, screen a film, hold a community celebration or put on a play, Museum Makers is a bright, modern space which can be easily adapted to suit the needs of your meeting or event.

Learning Studio

Capacity: 30 standing, 20 seated.

A hub for meetings, classes, discussion and learning, the Learning Studio is an ideal location for corporate meetings, workshops or as a breakout space away from the bustle of the city centre.

Times and Rates

We can offer Museum Makers and the Learning Studio for hourly (minimum two hours), half or full day hires, as well as out-of-hours and evening events. Please enquire for our out-of-hours rates. Our standard operating hours are Monday-Friday, 9.30am-5pm.

Museum Makers: £70 per hour

Learning Studio: £40 per hour

We offer a special rate for our community partners and charity organisations. If you think you qualify, let us know on your booking.

Bespoke guided tours

Take advantage of your historic surroundings with a guided tour of the Museum of Oxford and/or Oxford Town Hall, perfect as a teambuilding activity or as a break from a meeting. Let us know when you enquire that you’d like to book a guided tour. Prices start at £40.

Formal on-site catering for your event can be provided by Elegant Cuisine. Let us know if you’d like your event to be catered, and we can sort out the rest.

Kitchenette

Kitchenette (self-catering)

Self-cater your event by hiring our kitchenette for the preparation of beverages and cold foods. This includes use of crockery, hot water dispensers, drinking water, a fridge and a dishwasher. You’ll provide your own consumables, including tea bags, coffee and milk. Hire price starts from £20.

Are the rooms accessible?

The Town Hall and Museum have step-free access and are accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Museum Makers and the Learning Studio are accessible via a lift. Visit our page dedicated to helping you with access at the Museum to find out more. Feel free to get in touch if you’d like to discuss your party’s access needs with the Museum team.

Are there accessible toilets?

The Museum has two accessible, gender-neutral toilets and a baby change facility.

Can I hire Museum Makers and the Learning Studio together?

Yes, you can hire both Museum Makers and the Learning Studio at the same time (dependent on availability).
