Are you inspired by the stories of Oxford’s past? Could you share these stories with children and young people in an informative and creative way?

Oxford City Council’s Museum of Oxford reopened in October 2021 and we are looking for Casual Museum Learning Facilitators to lead workshops for our growing schools programme.

Working within our learning team, you will be responsible for setting up, delivering and clearing up for group workshops on site at the Museum of Oxford, and online in schools workshops that are delivered digitally.

As a Casual Museum Learning Facilitator, you will be the face of the Museum of Oxford for our schools audience and this role is vital to ensuring the museum operates to its full potential and students and teachers leave having had an enjoyable experience. Workshop delivery takes between 1 hour and 2.5 hours depending on the format, and set-up and clear up is usually about 30 minutes each side of the booking. Age ranges for workshops will vary and training in the workshop topics will be provided by our Learning Officer.

This presents a great opportunity for an individual who is friendly, flexible and committed to providing the highest standards of schools workshops. You will also be reliable, with excellent time keeping and an enthusiastic approach to work, being able to respond to a range of situations. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
