Visit the Museum of Oxford this Easter to discover more about life during the Second World War in Oxford for free.

Come to the Museum in the Town Hall to handle some of the original and replica World War Two items. Discover more about rationing and evacuation; investigate some of our mystery objects; and take part in craft activities inspired by our collection. There will also be a chance to help make a Museum Rag Rug or you can take home your very own Rag Rug set for a small fee*.

Our World War 2 object handling and craft session runs between 11am and 3pm on the 14th April in MOX in Oxford Town Hall. Activities are aimed at children aged 4 to 11 years old. All children need to be accompanied by an adult at all times. You can just drop in between these times but we encourage you to book a timed ticket in advance to avoid disappointment. This event is free, but we encourage donations to the Museum on the day to help us run services for the community. *You will be able to purchase your own mini Rag Rug make-and-take kit to use in the Museum or at home, there will be a limited supply and cost £3 per kit. Contact the Museum for more information.
