Little Pumpkins: Halloween stories workshop with Angela Kecojevic

Loading Events

Join us in October half term for our Little Pumpkins Halloween workshop, with real-life spooky story author Angela Kecojevic!

Angela will look back in time at our favourite orange squashes, pumpkins, exploring where they come from and why they are so popular around this ghoulish holiday. There will be an opportunity to decorate your own small pumpkin, write a Halloween story and play pumpkin-themed games.

This workshop is best suited for ages 5-8, but older siblings are welcome. Children must be supervised by an adult for the duration of the workshop. Adults go free with a child’s ticket.

Angela is a children’s author, librarian and children’s writing tutor. She has written extensively for the Oxford Reading Tree programme and is also a member of the Climate Writers Fiction League, a group of international authors who use climate issues in their work. Scareground, her debut spine-tingling middle-grade novel was published in 2023. She lives in Oxford with her family where she is currently working on her new middle-grade adventure ‘Elliott Wonderful and the Rise of the Statues’, set in the Bodleian, the Ashmolean and all over Oxford! She also writes climate fiction and has a new children’s mystery book out this year with OUP.
