Think you know who does what at home?
Join Sociology researchers for a fun, interactive guessing game exploring the hidden gender dynamics of unpaid labour — from housework to emotional load.
Test your perceptions, uncover surprising truths about how time and effort are shared (or not!), and win small prizes along the way. You’ll leave with new insights into the mental and emotional tasks that often go unnoticed — but never unfelt.
Just drop in – no need to book!
Led by Dr Grace Chang, Dr Zhuofei Lu and Dr Henglong Luo, Researchers from the GenTime group, Department of Sociology

This year, MOX is one of the venues for the Festival of Social Science: a fantastic opportunity for children and grown-ups alike to get hands on with fun and engaging activities, peek into the world of research and learn something new about our world. The festival celebrates the creative, engaging, and impactful work that social science researchers do to help us understand and influence the world around us. This year, the festival is returning with a packed programme of activities on the theme of “Our Working Lives” from 20 October – 7 November.
