How challenging is your daily journey?
Whether it’s the school run, a trip to the shops, or your commute to work, we all have a story about getting around everyday.
But what hidden obstacles are lurking along the way—rainy mornings, slippery paths, speeding cars, broken pavements, or risky crossings? What emotions do you experience on your commute?
Join this immersive walk-through experience and share your commuting experiences. Explore the extraordinary challenges faced by workers and women across Latin America, many of whom traverse huge cities and cross international borders daily just to do their jobs. From wild animals to unsafe transport and threats of violence, their commutes are anything but ordinary. Step into their shoes through hands-on activities, augmented reality and film.
Older children (11+) and adults can dive deeper with our Virtual and Augmented Reality headsets and documentary screenings.
Just drop in – no need to book!
Led by Dr Valentina Montoyarobledo and Tadiwa Chikengezha (Transport Studies Unit, School of Geography and the Environment), Dr Eric White (Oxford Brookes University)
